Vodice is a tourist center on the Adriatic coast (middle Adriatic area / North Dalmatia), 10 km away from a highway, 60 km from the airport Zadar and 75 km from the airport Split. It is known by its liveliness, the diversity of tourist offer and hospitable people.
Vodice has 10,000 inhabitants and it is a holiday resort where everyone may find something for himself. The climate is fantastic, even in winter it is mostly very mild, the sea is crystal clear and the gastronomy is versatile.
The beaches (pebble, concrete) stretch several kilometers to the right and to the left from the city center and they offer numerous catering facilities, as well as the recreational and sports activities (sailing, kayak, beach volleyball, a water slide, jet-ski, pleasure boats, bananas, tubes, parachutes).
The tennis courts are in the vicinity and the lovers of cycling have at their disposal a big choice of tracks through beautiful surroundings – from easy, recreational paths to the mountain, more demanding ones.
Vodice is an ideal starting point for the excursions to the nearby surroundings:
- By boat (a private or a rented one or a regular passenger line) to the nearby islets
- By car or by bus to the nearby beautiful, old, romantic cities, such as Šibenik 12 km, Zadar 55 km. Trogir 60 km, Split 90 km away
- The possibility of a whole-day excursions to the national parks: Krka Waterfalls, Kornati Islands, Paklenica Canyon, Plitvice Lakes
- Interesting archaeological sites that may be visited on foot, by bike or by car
